Spatial population models:
From configurations to genealogies and back

Description:

The workshop focuses on the typical spatial and non-spatial models in population genetics.

The goal of the workshop is to focus on a systematic treatment of genealogies in those models,
use genealogies to derive and explain facts in configurations of type frequencies, sizes etc. or
to use informations about the latter to learn more about the genealogies.

Some talks are planned to particularly address the issue of perspectives for further research
on the topic in the future; another slot is for four talks of younger scientists associated with the SPP.
